Chip is a Principal and Co-founder of the firm.
He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) from The Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. The Center provides the investment industry the first full-time training and research facility focused exclusively on investment fiduciary responsibility and portfolio management.
Chip brings 29 years of experience in the qualified retirement services business. He began his career by joining his family-owned actuarial services and employee benefits consulting firm.
After a bank acquired his family’s firm, Chip continued to serve the bank’s management team by facilitating and coordinating the merger of services between the two organizations. This first-hand experience broadened his insight into the large institutional service delivery mind-set and sharpened his perspective on two very different client service delivery models within the retirement services marketplace.
It is the culmination of these experiences that eventually led to his vision for the founding of PrimeTRUST Advisors.

He is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) from The Center for Fiduciary Studies as mentioned above.
Chip began his financial services career in 1989 as a commercial relationship manager with C&S Bank of SC, now part of Bank of America.
In 1999 Chip joined the Institutional Trust division of BB&T of SC. Here he focused his energies on retirement plans, asset management, and corporate trust.
His employee benefit experience includes money management, administration, trustee, actuarial, plan design & investment advisory services for qualified retirement plans; as well as employee communications.
Subsequently, Chip joined American Pensions, Inc. as the Senior Vice President. He was responsible for Sales and Marketing of their independent registered investment advisory and retirement plan administrative and record keeping services.
It is the culmination of these experiences that has lead to the formation of PrimeTRUST Advisors. Chip has over 21 years of financial services experience.

Tom Bowler, AIF®, QPFC
Tom is the Chief Investment Strategist for the firm.
He joined the firm from Mercer Investment Consulting in Atlanta, GA. At Mercer, he worked with a combination of public plans, qualified plans, and governmental units to design, execute, and monitor multiple aspects of their investment programs.
Tom has completed the same Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) program as mentioned above.
He has also completed the Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC) designation sponsored by the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) and was designed in conjunction with the University of Michigan. The QPFC program focuses on topics including qualified plan techniques, marketplace and industry trends, investment products, pricing models and fee disclosure, distribution planning and rollovers, and fiduciary issues and responsibilities.
Tom is currently participating in the CFA Program, sponsored by the CFA Institute. The CFA Institute's mission is to lead the investment profession globally by setting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence. He completed the Level II examination. Tom is an Affiliate Member of the South Carolina CFA Society.
He graduated from Campbell University with his Bachelors degree summa cum laude in Business Administration. He also earned his Maters degree from Campbell University with honors in Trust and Investment Management.
Tom began his career with SHDR Investment Advisers and over a four year period worked as both an investment analyst and investment consultant. As an analyst, he helped design many of the procedures used to analyze investment managers, asset allocation strategies, and other portions of the investment decision making process. As a consultant, he worked with plan sponsors to design, implement, and monitor prudent investment processes while managing their fiduciary duties.
